i have been looking all over and cannot find this answer...if there is a mutation in a dna sequence....the mutation is glutamic acid and valine......would it be a sinlent mutation a mis-sense mutation or a nonsense mutation...why? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Cells that have the sickle cell anemia involve a switch between glutamic acid and valine.

The valine is used instead of glutamic acid in the production of hemoglobin. This will make it less water-soluble, and as a result, more crystallized. Because of that, sickle-shaped cells form.

I know this because we just covered it in Bio AP.
