What is Christlike? Christlikness? what does it mean to be a christian. what does it look like?

Are these the questions you have to answer in your paper? Or is your paper on the life of Christ? Writing a paper on what it means to be a christian is a much differnet idea than actually writing a paper on Christ.
Is this paper on what it means to you, or do you need sources to back you up. A little more info please. Thank you.

John 3:16-17 -
For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son(Jesus Christ), that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
This is the main point of being a Christian- believing this and living upon it's promise.
Being Christlike, in my opinion, is loving others and not judging them.

That's dumb. They shouldn't make you write a paper on him. Not everyone believes in him and that he's real and all. Everyone from 534534 BC was dead so there is no actual proof that everything he did was real. It's all a theory. You should talk to your teacher about that. Maybe you'll get out of an assignment. :)
and besides.. we don't actually know what he was like and what a true christian actually is or what it looks like because we weren't there and it's not even proven. (like I said a million times)
so yeah that's annoying of teachers.

I presume you can choose the direction of the paper... if it's about the religious side, go speak to a priest or a minister, or even a church-goer.
If it's the historical side, his life and death, read through the bible and get more background data from historians.

Christ is a title...meaning anointed one. If you are doing a religious essay-paper...then..I would say Christ-like is a person who follows in the path of Jesus. Jesus told a person to disown ones self ....follow me. That would mean have full faith that he is God's son, view the bible as inspired. More than just faith but works...as Jesus showed through countless acts. be kind, considerate, long suffering, mild tempered, love their neighbor as themselves. That last one could be used alot in your essay.
