Fashion Degrees?

I am intersted in becoming a fashion designer, but most of the schools i look at only offer A.A degrees, even the prestigious FIDM in L.A. Is this all that is nessicary? is that all that you need to become a in demand fashion designer? I thought you would have to go for a bacholors, but not many of any schools offer this.

Many designers don't go the college route at all, but you will learn a lot and gain samples for your portfolio and valuable experience if you do shoot for an AA.

Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI is one very reputable college you might look into.
