I'm not talking about social aspects, more physical and mental. Men and women think different, they are built different. Don't get me wrong I AM NOT SAYING THAT WOMEN ARE LESS THEN MEN. This is just a question to get your perspective on this issue.
I believe it is not a matter of equality, it is a matter of finding and filling our roles as humans. Plain and simple. If you're good at something, do it. Regardless of whatever sex, race, creed you are there will always be someone else who is better at something then you are.

Can be Equal and are equal are completely different.
Besides what does the person sex have to do with their abilities to certain things? Yeah Everyone has the potential to be equal, but very rarely are.

good point men and women are diferent for a reason , we are complements one for each other , if we try to be equals on every aspect sooner or later we will have only one sex this planet.

When we mean 'equal' we mean treated fairly, as people. I would not expect my 130lb boyfriend to move furniture or push a car, when my 230lb no-so-petite frame is much more suited to doing so.
Men are delicate and easily broken.
That said, I don't care what the gender of my accountant, my realtor, my roofer is. The pay for jobs needs to be equal. If someone isn't doing as good a job as someone else, that can be taken into account.
I wouldn't hire my boyfriend as a bouncer, but he's the world's best software engineer, and I'd never go with anyone else. The 120lb woman with a black belt in Kickboxing can mind the door anytime.
Sports and "tough" jobs: Keep the standards the same, if someone can make the grade, who gives a crap if they have a penis or not? The only time this should matter is if you're in the porn industry or stripping.
From what I've seen, Men and women's way of thinking is much more a product of upbringing than genetics. If you don't believe me, go to rural Alaska sometime.

You are right, there is always someone who does something better than you. You are also right in the respect that we AREN'T equal, in the respect that we think differently and process information differently. HOWEVER I don't think either men or women are superior over the other. I think in some ways, women are more intelligent than men. Men tend to underestimate us women, and if we have a brain and we use it, we are looked down upon. Men tend to prefer a beautiful blonde bimbo with no brains over an average gal with intelligence. I don't believe in this womens lib garbage...I enjoy a guy holding a door for me, but on the other side of the coin, if I am leaving a store and a guy is behind me, I will just as likely hold the door for HIM. Its called courtesy. So to answer your question....yes, in some ways men and women are equal, while in other ways they will never be equal because we all think differently and view things in a different way. As they say "men are from mars and women are from venus"....I know I for one will never understand the opposite sex!!!!!!!

Hmmmmm--all "men" are created equal, and men stands for mankind. We are born with brains, organs ( other than sexual) we are the same. How we become who we are and good at what we are is not based on the sex that you are. So I agree, regardless of sex, if you excell in something do it to it's fullest , whether you are a man who wants to be a ballet dancer or a woman who wants to play pro football, go for it! And as far as mental capicity, it is how you use it, regardless of sex.

well, really they are equal. but because women and men are likely to be in two different worlds, but both are smiliar and yet seems to be well equal.
Many woman and men are very strong, mentally, emotionally, and/or physically.
Many other women and men are less strong.
So really, there is no roles in men or women. I don't believe in roles on human individual. we are who we are. we're not gonna be something someone says it's part of our role as men or women.
