How would a pH level higher than 5 effect radish seed growth and how would a pH level lower than 5 effect it?

It won't grow if there is a base or acid in water. I've tried it, it will kill the seed.

"The lower the pH, the higher the concentration of hydrogen ions and the more acidic the solution is. Thus, solutions with pH values between 1- 6 are considered acidic. The higher the pH, the lower the concentration of hydrogen ions and the more basic the solution is. Thus solutions with pH values between 8- 15 are considered basic."

Other than the lower ph level something has, the more acidic, I'm not sure.
