You sound like a loving and caring mom. You answered one of my questions with such sensitivity. You will probably have a silly grin on your face when you look at him, even when he has children of his own.
I am so sorry that you have experienced the loss of a child. The reason you feel blessed to havea your son is because you are blessed, not just for having him, but for being the person that you are.

My youngest daughter is 24 and just got her first "real" job after earning her Master's Degree. I helped her move (a 5 hour drive from home) and that first night, in her new apartment, I stood in the door of her bedroom and watched her sleep in her new place... my silly grin was a result of the years of questioning whether or not I was doing this "motherhood" thing right...and the affirmation that she had indeed grown up into a wonderfully funny, bright, and talented young lady with a little of bit of help from mom and a whole lot of help from God! Nope. It doesn't matter how old your kids are!!! They will always be precious... not to mention, I can now bribe her with the "drooling" pictures I took while watching her sleep!!!

I'm a mother of 2 a 7yr old boy and 3yr old girl with my 3rd on the way. I still watch them sleep. I dont think it will ever change. I also misscarried in between my kids i was around 5 months. For some reason when you have kids and miscarry you value your children alot more. I remember comming home afterwards and just wanting my son. I'm sorry for your loss.

If it pleasures you, do it as long as you can. Our kids grew up so fast, and I'm sure most parents feel the same way. It won't be long before, for what ever reason, College, Marriage, or Career, they will leave home and fly on their own wings. For this kind of blessing, and pleasure, there is no age limit. I even love to watch my husband sleep. I'm blessed I've been able to do so for 49 years so far, and I will do so as long as I can.

No, it is a wonderful blessing when you have a child and no matter what age they are one just wonders how could God have blessed me so. I am very sorry that you lost a baby girl last month, my heart goes out to you, because no matter how many children you have you will always miss the one you lost. God bless you and your family.

I have a 2-year-old, and I definitely still check on him while he sleeps. I hold my breath until I hear him breathing, just to make sure. I love to watch him sleep. It's a peaceful feeling. He looks so different when he's asleep!

No way. You should keep that grin on your face all your life. There's no such thing as "too old." But I wouldn't know because I'm a 13 year-old boy

It never gets old! My kids are much older now and I still get that lovey mommy feeling in my tummy when I see them sleeping. It's all I can do not to crawl in bed with them and hold them like they were babies again!
