My friend gets horrible cramps, tear moving pain. Why do some girls get it so bad ? I get cramps like anyone else but never to that extreme. Is it true that good nutrition actually helps ?

I get really abd cramps too and the best advice i can give you is to tell her that she needs to eat healthy and try to avoid junk food (even though it tastes very good) and excercise. Sometimes when you feel that awful you say to yourself that you do not feel like excerzising at that moment but after a while tell her to try it. It works. Another thing if she wants to avoid horrible cramps i recommend pamprin, or midol. They work really good.

Does she take birth control? If so, for how long has she been taking it? I know that before I went on it, I got absolutely nothing, no cramps, no backaches. But for the first few months I went on, I got cramps that woke me up in the middle of the night and left me up and crying for hours. Now, after being on it for over a year, I rarely get cramps that wake me up (though I still get them and minor backches). I think it's just how your body reacts to the chemicals and hormones released in your body.

I don't know anything about the nutrition...

I don't know about nutrition but I used to get terrible cramps. I mean curl up on the bed and moan cramps. Birth control pills helped the cramps. I barely feel anything now.
