anything you are really fearful about during your pregnancy you should consult a midwife or doctor...you can't take back a miscarriage and no question is dumb...only the unasked ones! A little pain with uterine stretching is normal...it can feel like a menstrual cramp. A lot of OB/GYN doctors have nurses on staff just to answer questions like that...my husband's company has a benefit that is an "ask the nurse" line...it is way underrated! :-)

I am the mother of four so I have obviously been pregnant. It is probably fine, being pregnant can be so uncomfortable, but I would call your OB's office asap and explain what you're feeling. The staff will consult the DR. and advise you as to if it's normal or if you should be seen. It's always better to be safe then sorry with such a precious gift. Good luck sweetie!

Uterus . . .

Appointment . . .

Stretching . . .

Bladder . . .

Period . . .

Please GET OFF the Internet, pick up the phone and call the doctor! You could be having a miscarriage or worse.

By the way, they offer spell check . . . another suggestion -- use it!

And please don't ask these types of serious medical questions when this is something of this much concern to you. We are not doctors, and those giving advice do so without a medical license. No one can diagnosis a medical condition over the Internet, and no one should. Especially something this serious as a pregnancy!

Please use some COMMON SENSE, and stop making everyone think for you!

You're going to have a child. Time to start thinking for yourself, and making important decisions as an ADULT!

It's quite common to have cramping, but I would ask the doctor to make sure. You're right, it could be your ligaments stretching -- it's called round ligament pain (growing pains). Is the cramping persistent? How long have you been having them? Are you having them once in a while or are they constant? You usually feel the cramping in your groin area, your left, right, or center of your lower abdomen.

The book you need to get is "What to Expect When You are Expecting", i loved this book it had all the answers and even gave me a few to ask. You are probably okay, there a lot of pains that your body goes thur making room for the baby.

It could be your uterus stretching, it could also be a bladder infection, my best friend had those symptons constantly through out her pregnancy and it was because she kept getting bladder infections which are very common during pregnancy, see a doctor to be sure, but if that is what it is he can give you something to help you that is safe for the baby as well.

You may feel a sensation of menstrual cramps thoughout your pregnancy, but they should not be extremely painful.
I speak from experience. But if you feel uncomfortable about anything, ask your doctor. There is no dumb question, especially if this is your first.

your right you might be stretching cause I cramp around about that time and my doctor told me the same thing. your stomach is going to stretch giving your baby room to grow. As long as your not bleeding.

The pains should not be severe. If you have severe cramping you should call your doctor to be on the safe side.
