No it's not weird, it's a form of self-expression. His fingernails will grow out, the polish will come off. It's nothing permanent. Just like hair dye. We are all guilty of expressing ourselves one way or another with the way we look. Have you ever dyed your hair? Polished your nails? Just make limits. Don't let him do anything permanent until he is 18 then he is free to pierce, and tatoo anything he wants (He'll have plenty of time to think about the permanency of it) As long as he is not hurting himself, or others, what is the harm? We all need a little freedom of expression as long as it is not harmful to others.

My son did and has done the same several times since he was about 10 (he's 18 now); I let it pass but asked him who did it, why, how does he think it looks, etc. gave me an engraved invitation to ask meaningful/pertinent questions and have fun with it! Who cares, really, what color your nails are; it happened about 4-7 times in 8 years and it was fine; now, if he starts dressing up like Dracula and thinks he's a "super-horror-monster", that's a different story!

First of all, u spelled "paint" wrong in your initial question. secondly i think that if his parents approve and he doesn't get all depressed, its fine. its a little weird, but, there isn't a problem w/it.( unless he starts to get obsessed w/the whole goth thing, then it is definitely a problem. and no witchcraft either. that's also wrong)

WOW you purely defined my son....i do no longer wanna positioned a label on your son yet have you ever seen ADHD? i be attentive to that alot pf human beings get pissed whilst it is cautioned yet in specific situations you are able to desire to stand the data. specific it extremely is over clinically determined yet that does no longer recommend it would not exist. And maximum ADHA little ones are geniuses!!!My son has an outstanding mind's eye and is rather sensible. the reason he's doing poorly in school isn't simply by fact he's unintelligent it extremely is simply by fact he's bored. the staggering component approximately little ones with ADHD is there's an outstanding device accessible which you would be able to desire to purchase everywhere, for as low as a dollar, at any food market which will positioned the concentration back into his little techniques....I call it CAFFEINE. little ones that are over lively have the wiring somewhat backwards of their head, i'm a similar way. Caffeine calms me down and helps me focus. it extremely is a great innocuous little attempt to do on your son. provide him 4 oz..of espresso with Milk and Sugar on the weekend..that way if he get's somewhat jazzed you are able to administration it by sending his butt outdoors. yet you would be attentive to interior a couple of minutes if it extremely is working. of course this could desire to in no way be substituted for a medical doctors opinion. even though it extremely is a great option to drugs. i'm specific that i gets alot of unfavourable comments from different individuals on right here yet it extremely is purely my opinion and what i be attentive to to artwork.

He may be gay. Any boy who wants to put on make up or nail polish could very well be gay, and it is a type of style these days, but NOT for a 10 year old. Wait until he at least gets into high school.

No, it's just like any other fashionable thing he would want to do.
If he thought he was a jock he would wear his hat a certain way or a sports jersey. He's a kid experimenting with his identity.

Kinda, but then Halloween will be here before you know it. Next he'll be after piercings and a tattoo, so you will have to draw the line somewhere.

Yes but I'm old. I guess it's better than those baggy pants that hang down really low.
