No. Because if it's really that easy, wouldn't everyone be doing it? Wouldn't the doctors tell you to do that? No.

This is sort of true. The fact is that if you put toothpaste, and it can't be gel, it will dry out the blemish, and may make it go away quicker. I would not recommend this if you have dry skin, because the toothpaste will dry out your skin even more, and your skin will think it's too dry, so it will make more oils causing more blemishes.

i do this all the time and they don't just go away they either dry up or it helps to bring them to a head. the toothpaste has to have floride in it and i find it best to put it on before you go to bed and leave it there until the morning. although my mom tried it one time for a blemish she had on her chin close to her lip and in the morning her lip was swollen really really bad. but it works for me so best bet is to do it when you have no plans in case you have a bad reaction to it

I've done it for years. But the trick is, you can't use the fancy smancy toothpastes, you've got to use plain white Colgate. It probably won't be 100% gone the next morning, but it will be considerably dried up.

Don't think so,but try it & see. However I found a good something for Zits. Avon makes a little tube called Clearskin Targeted Belemish Remover. It's clear,I use it before bedtime, cover the zit,let it dry{only takes a few min.} go to sleep & wala! No more ZIT!!!!!

It has worked for me. It doesn't make them disappear completely, but it reduces the swelling. It seems to dry them out.
PS Preperation H is often used to reduce the swelling of bags under the eyes (to whoever mentioned it before).

I've never tried that, but it could work because whitening toothpaste contains bleach....
