It's hard to make "true" friends. Sometimes you just have to join activities, church, or you find someone at work that you click with.

I was in a situation where I had no close girl friends to talk to about stuff. I prayed about it and not long after that, I ran into a lady on my floor at work. We had the same interests and we were the same age. We have been best friends for about nine years now. I don't know what my life would be like without her friendship.

Pray about it. Go to places or activities that you enjoy. Keep on looking. You do need good friends in life. Ones that will be there for you when life gets hard as well as the good times.

Another thing, you have to be a good friend, to get good friends. Remember that. You need to be able to listen as well as talk. Care for others.

Read the book " How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegy.

Also, when you meet new people, give the relationship time to grow. It needs nurturing, just like a love relationship. Being an active friend, creates many friendships. I'm trying to build more friendships myself. Good ones are hard to find, but really worth it in the end.

Keep on trying.

Some people go their whole lives just to realize that the people they consider friends are just using them. You are ahead of the game. True friends are hard to come by. Way too many people like to play games and be dishonest. Hang out, do the things you want to do, and sooner or later you'll meet people you have something in common with.

Hey, you didn't say how old you were. Get involved in some activities you enjoy and be yourself and they will come. Don't get in an isolated group because you don't want those type of friends - be friendly with everyone and don't be judgmental. A true friend talks good about their friends - beware of those that gossip and talk mean about people. Be yourself and relax - it will happen and you will make good friends.

i completely understand. if you go to a school and you have tried everything than just let things happen the way they are going to happen. I really only have 1 true friend at my school, although my school is a small private school, where not many people go. It's hard, and i dont know how you should solve it ohter than, the answers i hate.
put yourself out there...
Good Luck.

try to make friends, but dont worry about it all the time. just do something u enjoy and be friendly to whoever u meet. If people arent friendly back dont feel bad. not everyones going to be super nice all the time. be patient, and be outgoing.

Sometimes it is better, believe it or not, to have just a handful if any friends. I find it better sometimes to live without the drama of "Is she flirting with my man?" Or "Is she/he mad at me?" Although it is nice to have someone to share common hobbies and interests in besides your spouse.

Just be nice and find somebody with your likenesses, then you'll feel like you have a true friend.

I'll be your friend, e-mail me back.
