Names are harder to find since most are taken. What's frustrating is that domain names are registered but then it's some advertisement page rather than a true poker website.
However, if you are creative enough, you'll register one that is catchy. What I also recommend you can do is goto a domain register, they sometimes give you additional domain names that have not been registered. It recommends to you base on keywords domain names you might be interested. (two i saw was PokerCultures.com, PokerStarterSite.com)
As for ideas, may I recommend to you WorldPokerSite.com, this is a fun and free poker site. What's great about it, is that it allows other website owners to create their own poker tables online. You can add a Texas Hold'em, 7 Card Stud, Omaha Hold'em, or any tournaments. If you have a poker website, why not add some live tables so people can play.
Lots of poker sites are mostly facts and links to other sites, but if you can have your own tables, that will be an extra cool thing. Don't forget to add poker forums/blogs - people like to chat and brag. Also include poker tournament leader boards.
WorldPokerSite.com has text-to-speech, voice and video soon, it's lobby allows you to listen to live music and view your stocks portfolio. They are very unique and are the first to do many things.
There are lots of poker sites out there, don't lose faith in yourself. Have a goal, believe in yourself, don't get distracted, and follow through.
Have fun and enjoy. It's a great hobby for most people!!!
