What could be some of the causes when someone who was formerly loving and enjoyed physical contact suddenly is repulsed by hugging and other physical contact with her boyfriend and other close friends. Could it be depression? She says she has had episodes of rapid heart beat, as well as anxiety and feelings of guilt.

I believe there is something dreadfully wrong. Please encourage her to get help, help her make an appointment with some one in Mental health. Respect her aversion to physical touching it will only drive her away
