I don't know about the "IN" thing. But all I can say is, if you have a cowboy hat and you like to wear it, then just wear it.

It all depends on where you are, and what circles you move in. I'm in a small Southern town, and I don't even blink when I see a cowboy hat; they sell 'em in straw cheap at the local Walmart--and they sell the high priced new Resistols at the Tractor Supply store, so I imagine they're still pretty popular. However, the MOST impressive way to wear them is with the WHOLE getup. Get some Old West style jeans and 19th century looking shirts from Wah Maker (makes re-enactor wear) and the trench frock coat, maybe a six-shooter if you've got a permit and THEN top it with a cowboy hat! Oh, and don't forget the tooled leather boots...Cheers!
P.S. Odds are, you can find a good horse to ride pretty easily too...just nowhere to park him anymore these days!

Who cares what the fashion police think. If you're a real cowboy, wear one. As long as there are cowboys, there will be cowboy hats. I can't stand the beat up straw hats a lot of the country music people are wearing now. A real cowboy wouldn't be caught dead in one! Give me a traditional felt, straw or palm leaf man any day! See George Strait or my handsome hubby!

Texas is easily the 1st state that consists of strategies while i think of approximately cowboys. of direction, i do no longer purely think of of a few large usa artists including George Strait while i think of approximately Texas, yet I additionally think of of large Texas blues artists including Stevie Ray Vaughan.

I'm in Texas, where they're always in fashion. I like the dressier style on men - shows a little class. The beat up ones are great for the beach & more cas situations. Mine are covered w/pins from my travels.
