A bad place..(evil like).Gives you time to think (contemplate) of the bad (evil) things you did to get there.

It sounds like a person in prison blaming the prison system. And I am not saying the prison system is perfect. Any type of confinement could make you go crazy if you let it. Prison is there to house people who commit crimes, so there may be a lot of evil there. A person in prison may contemplate ways of escaping-either prison, or life itself. The prison world is smaller than the outside world and they get into groups who side against each other. It's dangerous and your mind would contemplate all kinds of evil deeds, depending upon the person and what he is capable of. Prison is supposed to change a person for the better, but it does not always work out that way.

The more time you have to sit and think, the more time you will spend thinking about things that would be considered evil

i suppose what they are saying is prison itself is evil. when they are prison, men(or women) will think about commiting evil deeds such as breakin out killing guards al that kinda stuff.
