THERE IS A TON OF DIFFERENCES AS THEY ARE INTEGRAL PARTS OF A COMPANY BUT WHOLLY UNRELATED .

There are very many. Here are what most academics consider the most fundamental:

Perishability - Services can not be warehoused and held in inventory, products (manufacturing) can

Intangibility - In general the results of a service are not seen before the service is performed. One can see a product before purchasing.

Variability - Services change depending on who and where they are performed. Products are much more standard.

Inseparability - The service and the service provider are simultaneously involved. A product can be removed from the manufacturer and still sold.

One last item: In manufacturing product changes lead to process changes. In service, a process change results in a change in the product.
