I do not understand some of the questions on this thing. Some blow my mind that people are either that lazy or that dumb. Who asks about buying a house in a state on here? Isnt that what Realestate companies are for? Why does yahoo permit the constant sex questions form children that cant even drive yet? Why do people want to share their explicit details of real life on here, and then get pissed when someone comments on them and its maybe not what they wanted to hear? People want the answer, quick clean and easy. This Yahoo answers is another ignorant way to avoid research and possibly learning something on their own. Go technology, make us more lazy every day.

Just curious, how many parents of kids anywhere between eh lets say 1st grade and 12 even been to a library anymore?

I think sometimes an unbiased opinion on a personal issue can be a good thing. That's why Dear Abby and Miss Manners are so popular! But you're correct, some of the questions are so stupid. It's as if people are too lazy to look up simple facts (such as the capital of a certain state) and would rather someone give them an answer, even if it's wrong.

You can also tell that some of the questions are just to bait people and get an argument started.

My kids aren't even in school and they go to the library!

Somebody needs a stroll around the building. A little tense, there?
Yep, there are more goofballs than we care to shake our sticks at, and they found their calling in Y q&a.
But the rest of us, the intelligent, social, humorous ones, well, we know what our friends would respond (we're finished asking them), so we're looking for data from others. When we recognize the 'ring of truth' in an answer, we pick that as the best.
Fun! Smart! Human contact (sorta)!
Don't let the bottom feeders spoil your fun. Go earn yourself a bonus.

You just answered your own question:

"People want the answer, quick clean and easy. This Yahoo answers is another ignorant way to avoid research and possibly learning something on their own".

Besides, maybe people want the unbiased, anonymous opinion of a complete stranger.

You have hit the nail on the head! This forum, as it exists, is nothing but a venue for lazy, shiftless, stupid, ignorant morons to ask their pointless questions. And the Yahoo staff seems to be clueless about some of the filth and disgusting questions posted here.

I avoid doing the homework of others, and I can't fathom why parents would ask for medical advice for their children instead of taking their kid to the doctor.
