If you had borrowed the furniture from him ,then you should pay but if he is the one who dumped his furniture in your place then he is responsible for the removal.

He should 100 per cent But however if you suggested for your friend to leave his furniture at your house before he said anything to you and you were using any of his furniture within the 2 years than maybe you should go half. But also suggest to your friend that well i did have your furniture for 2 years and i did not ask you to pay any storage fees so at least can you find a way to pick it up.

I would say ..... you sort of have a conflict here. Was he lending you the furniture because you asked for it ....... or did he ask you to store it ? I think you both ought to work together to return the furniture to him ..... one person rent a truck if needed and .... you both or some friends do the carrying . This shouldn't be a conflict that will end a friendship.

If he brought it over, then he should pick it up. If you picked it up, then you should drop it off. I say this assuming there was a benefit to both of you during the original transaction. Who ever moved it in the first place probably benefitted more and should be the one to move it out.

Why don't you help him move it back to his house. He LENT it to you and it also helped him out by avoiding storage fee's. It helped you both out at the time. You are both equally responsible.

If you had it bc he needed a storage place and it just happened to benefit you than he should get it but if you borrowed it bc you were in need, which obviously isnt so,than you should turn it.

He is. Bottom line.
I saw something similar to this on "Judge Judy" once. She said if he wanted his stuff he had to go get it and she didn't have to lift a finger to help.

Why don't you both do it? Split the rental of the truck, get help, and just move it. Would be easy!
