I have thought about this before, and I decided that I would first have to define ' truly happy '. So far I have not been able to even do that.

When I became a United States citizen in 1994.
When I received my American University Degree in may of 2000.

When I met my second husband at the age of 38. He was the first person to love me for me.Relationships before that were very abusive and I had all but given up.He gave me the confidence to do new things and still supports me in everything I do.

I was happy many times.
Ofcourse I dont know with what instrument you would measure hapiness.
I also had many bad moments in my life along with happy moments.
There is nothing such true and fake hapiness. You are happy when you feel better at that point of time......

Annie's right, whenever you get to the point where just don't give a rat's behind about other people's petty crap. Once you are above the drama, and you cut out all the negative people you find that you are amazingly happy! --I was 28.

Not yet, but if I ever hit powerball things will definitely change. Its not about the lack of material things but about the inability to provide the quality of life for my family.

this past year when I turned 50
Son is doing well with his career
both parents are still relatively healthy
I finally own my own home- all paid for
career is going OK
pension/401k both looking good
great romance going on with a guy I truly care about and who respects me
I feel that I've got it all..... finally
