Tampa is a city in Florida.
If Terry lives in Atlanta, she doesn't live in Florida, she lives in Georgia.
Conversely, someone that lives in Florida doesn't have to be in Tampa, they could be in Miami.

Its a false counter example because she does live in Florida, but it doesnt mean she lives in Tampa.

Do you mean the converse?
If you live in Tampa then you live in Florida is true, the converse is not always true.
If you live in Florida then you live in Tampa.
A counter example would be if there was a town named Tampa but it was in say Texas.

if you're thinking logic, the OPPOSITE would be - Terry lives in Florida, does she live in Tampa? Inductive vs. deductive reasoning

i dunno what counter example means but if u switched those two(converse) it would be If terry lives in florida, then she lives in tampa. the inverse is If terry does not live in tampa, then she does not live in florida. the contrapositive is if terry does not live in florida then she does not live in tampa (maybe this is what u needed?)

inverse: if terry doesnt live in tampa, then she doesnt live in florida
contrapositive: if terry doesnt live in florida, then she doesnt live in tampa
it doesnt make any sense, because if you live in tampa, then you are living in florida...
