i can't believe you are not kidding but:

Consecutive numbers are ones that follow each other with no gaps with other numbers like 1 2 3 4 5 and so on

Be careful - because this could be a trick question.

If we're talking about natural numbers, whole numbers, integers - then whatever number you choose - there will be a "next" one....those numbers are then considered "consecutive".

Given any number you can think of - call it "x", then "x+1" would be the next number, so x and x+1 would be consecutive numbers.

However - not every number HAS a next number. If we're talking about rational numbers, then we have to deal with fractions. What's the "next" number after 1/2? There is no "next" number - because whatever number you choose that's larger than 1/2 - I can pick a number that lies between 1/2 and the number you just chose!

So - the question ONLY makes sense if we're restricted to the realm of integers.

Consecutive numbers are numbers that come in order..1,2,3,4,5,
Or even 50,51,52 They can begin with any number, but the next number has to be the number that would normally follow it-in other words, numerical order
