If your dr. sees no problem stop worrying your girlfriend is just carrying her pregnancy differently... Some women (me included) carry pregnancies all out front so show a belly much sooner 3-4months ... My sister however carried her pregnancies differently and didn't show a belly until between 5.5 - 6 months we both had healthy strong babies about 8 lbs although she never got as large as I did because of the position she carried in... Each woman is different..
As for weight gain you don't want to gain 50-70 lbs during pregnancy an Ideal gain is 25-20 lbs (Single fetus a bit more for multiples).... Listen to your dr. he/she is correct your weight gain is fine....
Relax and enjoy your pregnancy rather than comapring yourself to someone else... Like I said before each woman is different and will carry each pregnancy differently...

I think its the baby!LOL! My 8 year old I blew up as big as a house. I'm talking HUGE!! My 15 year old and my 3 year old nobody knew I was pregnant at NINE months! I looked bloated. W/ my 15 year old I was still wearing my jeans at 7 months. With my 3 year old I had clients who didn't even know I was having a baby when they were told I was on maternity leave! All born healthy and wonderful and they are the joy of my life! So maybe your baby is just teeny now but as long as you are taking care of you its ok. Plus if this is your first you'll probably be tiny at first. Give it til 30 weeks and you'll be complaining about your aching back!!Good luck!

Some ladies don't show till much later if they show at all..you may be one of those lucky ones that don't gain a lot of weight and have no problem losing the baby weight. I'm sure it's fine if you're that worried call your doctor that's what they are for.

I have a friend that had no belly up until she was like 61/2- 7 mo she was real tall so the baby had lots of room to grow if you are tall that could be why also you could just be carrying your baby in you back that happens alot too!

Every woman's body is made different. I had a friend who never showed with her first, she was 5'6" and 110 lbs. Her baby boy was healthy and 8lbs 22inches when he was born. Not every woman shows at the same time, but if you have another you will most likely show sooner. Listen to your Dr. S/he knows best, s/he makes a living at this right? Your Dr. will be the first to know if anything is wrong, trust your instincts and you'll be fine.

The thought that you are eating for two is an old thought. Your physician will want you to gain slowly at first - and will let you know if they are concerned. I actually lost weight for the first couple months of both of my pregancies - I was eating healthier and exercising - my doctor was thrilled! However, come5th month, he was watching to be sure I gained properly

Don't worry as long as your eating healthy, taking your vitamins, and doing what your doctor says you will be o.k. Your baby will get what it needs. I didn't start showing till I was around six months.
