You mean a Honda motor going into a Honda right? lol....Yes a b18c will drop into a 95 civic no problem...I would recomend that you find some Hasport d-series to b-series motor mounts and then drop it in...the only problem that i think you may run into is the proper shift linkage length...i am not sure if you can use the stock EJ linkage so you might have to resort to using a linkage from an integra GS-R or an EK civic

Acura and Civic are Honda manufactured. Some have same engines but different displacements. (1.6 or 1.8) similar blocks but bores are different. Both are 4 cylinders. Civics are normally 4 cylinders. A certified mechanic should know it if the engine blocks are the same. Otherwise modifying the engine support will to the trick. But the disadvantage is fabricating a lot of things which might cost more in the long run. Better get a Civic engine instead.

yeah it would work i have the same thing done to mine just a 1996 acura integra gsr into a 1993 civic dx. That would be cool to do but just be prepared to spend chunks of cash cause you always find something going wrong when you do that. And you also wont find many mechanics that would work on an engine swap because they dont know where to start most of the time. So if you find one better stick with that one. Trust I know I get rejected all the time because of that.

That would be AWESOME. It would be a total rocket. Don't do it yourself unless you have experience, though. Take it to a professional.

Sorry - just looked at the details. What kind of civic? There's a bunch from that generation. Most acura engines will fit - but it depends on the model. DX? CX?

What you need is a good book that will tell you exactly what you need to do...

http://www.amazon.com/Honda-Engine-Swaps-S-Design/dp/1884089933/sr=8-1/qid=1158842210/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-8976751-4812960?ie=UTF8&s=books

It will give you sources for parts and answer known problems as well as give you direction on the best engine and just what it will need to make the swap easier.

Fitting directly into the '95 isn't that easy... you will have to check on many things... wiring harness to support the computer, axle halfshaft lengths & spline count, engine mounts and physical clearance issues etc.

Sound like one heck of a lot of fun though... do your homework first and get it all sorted out or you could be opening the biggest can of worms you ever came across!

Good luck!

No problem, drop it in. You could get the same motors from the factory in both civic and integra in 99.
