y = n%(x^2)

substitute the numbers:

9 = n%(6^2)
9 = n%(36)
9/36 = n%
0.25 = n%
n = 25%

ok, so now what is y when x = 2?

y = n%(x^2)
y = 25% (2^2)
y = 25%(4)
y = 1

Okay when x=6 is squared we get 36
and since y=9 then the percentage is 9/36 = .25 or 25%

Now when x=2 is squared we get 4
and 25% of 4 or 4 * .25 = 1

The answer is 1
