Out of curiousity I was wondering how many of you was your due date off. At first they told me I was due April 7th. Then I went in at 9wks and they found a heartbeat. They said that normaling they don't hear it that early with a doppler. So maybe I am a few weeks fathur. (which is what I thought in the beginning). Has this happened to anyone and if so how and what.

due date is just an estimation. Only a small percentage of women deliver on their "due date". With my son I was given a duedate of Dec 25, then Dec 31, and he came between them on the 28th.

good luck!!

The "wide-spread" gestaional era for a whole term being pregnant is 32 to 40 two weeks. subsequently a due date could be incorrect by using an entire month. A "due date" is merely an estimate of whilst the toddler might arrive. mom nature (or God) comes to a decision whilst the toddler is born no longer clinical technology.

My friends due date has been changed like 3 times already. They normally will do an ultrasound to tell for sure..
It's just an estimate either way. I am due tomorrow and the chances of my baby coming are rather dim..

how to calculate your due date
take the First day your last period began count ahead 9months + 6 days. Example: if the first day of your last period was december.15th 9 months later would be september.15th + 6 more days would be september 21st. this woul be your due date.

I was technically "late" with both my kids - however, with my daughter, I was 2 weeks past the due date they gave me (but 2 days ahead of what I predicted) and with my son, I was 1.5 weeks late - but 1 day past what I predicted.
