Has any one every taken the antibiotic called Levaquin and developed any pain in body joints, sore muscle, body aches.
My doctor the prescibed this said that the pain and soreness is not from the levaquin. Please let me know.

Ohhhh: let me tell you. Great drug but awful side affects. Yes, that you are feeling are some of the least but most uncomfortable side affects from the drug. I took it last year after a surgery I had. It started out like your symptoms but became so bad I thought I was going to die. Now I am a nurse, and I know its reputation as being a strong powerful drug. I also know what you and I were feeling are not allergies but I will tell you, if you can take something else, report the symptoms to your doctor and list this one as an allergy, although it is truly not one. If this is the only drug needed to cure what you have, then I would still talk to your doctor to report the symptoms and then have him/her treat your side affects.Goof luck.Hope you feel better.

The pain for me with Levaquin was hearing how ungodly expensive it is. If I had not had insurance...Whew!
Another doctor told me HE was prescribed that one and couldn't afford it!!!
I had aches and pains before Levaquin and after so I can't say it did or did not exacerbate them.Your question makes me very interested in the responses you get. Thanks

Yes,they gave it to me for pneumonia.Some of the other drugs they gave me were said to cause the symptoms you mentioned.

i usually get joint pains from eating processed foods like salami, kielbasa, canned foods
