im doing history homework and i need a lil help.

Seadogs is a name for sailors or pirates. Pirates are theives and people call them dogs, and since they roams the seas, thus "seadogs" became the name.
Another defintion of seadogs that has nothing to do with pirates is: seal.

In Portland Maine they are a AA Baseball team and just won the Eastern league championship. But if you really want to know they were named after the dog fish which is a small shark.
