I've only been using it for about a month but it seems like longer. It is interesting and can be funny and all the rest but I soon found the addictive side of it a bit scary. I wasted way too much time in the beginning - but I also enjoyed it!
Then it started to become like a drug and I found I wasn't sleeping properly or able to concentrate at work. I started to get worried. Then one day I read that Yahoo actually have a help site for people addicted to Yahoo Answers and the whole thing began to seem a bit more sinister.
So I decided to take control and not spend too long on it each time. Maybe the novelty is wearing off but over the past couple of weeks I've started to lose interest. I'm quite relieved and glad to be getting my real life back!
Check out the AA (!) site for interesting comments about the addiction from other users.

Don't ask me kid, just keep answering the questions!!! People inherently want to help others. We're all know it alls so when you want to sound off, it helps people to have a sounding board. Personally I've learned how to change wall paper, who wrote a song that I love, how to lose a guy in 10 days, and how to solve a difficult math problem and I'm not even in college or high school anymore. So it's beneficial for many reasons. But at least your not an alcoholic crack addicted nympho!!!

It is so entertaining! I find redemption and validity when I address my concerns, as I have come to discover that I'm not the only one who "feels this way"!
Plus I've been able to share my experiences, and as a result, help other people.
That is very rewarding.
Not to mention how hard I have laughed just reading some of the questions!!
A lot of you guys are crazy, insane.
And so many of you are loving and caring.
But I am so impressed by the fact that crazy, loving, nuts, caring,
or just plain curious, that so many of you are so intelligent.
I've learned so much.
Thank you!!!

I'm finding the same thing!
I only stumbled into this less than a week ago - and every time I sit down, I find myself checking it out.
I seem to be sitting down a lot more this week!
