Have you seen Thirteen Going on Thirty with Jennifer Garner? If not rent it before the dance and GO WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND!
Not only will you be there, and I mean come on everyone knows he is your best friend, so if there is a boy there that likes you your friend will not mind if you dance with him, so it is the best of both worlds! And you will be much more at ease and yourself with him and that will show to everyone around you. RELAX have fun and don't stress out!
The best times I ever had were times when I did not think I would have fun at all.

How about you focus on a guy that you would like to go to the dance with....Try to be around him all the time. Where some sexy clothes and a nice perfume. Slouch, always smile. Make yourself noticed. Ask him casually if hes going to the dance with anyone. If you cant get a date, go with Alex. better than no one

Here in Texas, it is polite to always say yes to the first guy that asks you. Even a friend. The other guys catch on, they are not afraid to ask then and know to ask in advance. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Maybe your friend wants to be more than a friend. Have you considered the possibility. If you don't like him that way - go with him as a friend. At least that way you have a date. Odds are, if you haven't been asked yet, you're not going to be. But it looks to me like you HAVE been asked.....several times in fact.

Rather than rant about it (and yell at us in all caps), why not ask someone yourself? Choose to take control of something that is bothering you vs. letting it contol you.

dear plz calm down it's only one dance in 6th grade i'm sure u'll have many moreand i'm sure u'll have a lot more fun if u go with ur friends.thats how my middle school dances were. what is sad is that i don't have a date for homecoming this year...again. that's sad.
