I am tutoring a child who reverses his B's and D's. Are there any activities or cute sayings that would help correct the problem?

If you make a B with your left hand and a D with your right hand you can see the difference (which side the stem should be on).
I do not know any sayings, but if you can help that child to match up the b's with the left hand then she will know that if the stem is on the other side it is a d.
I don't know... it might work.
Also; if she is in 2nd grade or below then this relatively normal for that age. As she gets older she should stop having this problem. If the problem does not get better she may consider being checked by a doctor.

Draw the B like a bunny, adding ears a tail and a face. I don't know any for the D but the bunny really helps.

Draw a picture of a bed with a headboard at each end. Then write the word "bed" inside of it, with the edge of the b and d making the headboards.

I taught my nephew to make sure the "bubbles" are facing his writing hand.(of course, he is right handed). But I suppose you could tell him the opposite if he is left handed. Good Luck!
