There are only a few of us that liven this place up.
I'm giving this up.
It's too much grief and very little reward these days.
Will I be missed?

It's hard enough to come up with original stuff here.
Even harder when there's nothing to gain inspiration from.
I just feel jaded by it all.
Isn't it better to go out on a high than struggle on whilst knowing the glory days are behind you?

First off, I just want to say that that was really f*cking weird. I've got a list of my favourite questioners in my Internet Explorer shortcuts. I'd just been looking through Zoek's then thought "I'll see what me old mate SR was up to last night". Then I started wondering if anyone else does what I do and that I'd post a question about it. I was just thinking about how to word it when I saw your question, I had to do a double take. Weird.
Anyway, in answer to your question, obviously I do, I also know what you mean about giving up. Most of my questions seem to either prompt a load of abuse or just baffle peopple with no imagination. I'm sick of thinking up questions to be met with '2 points', 'reported' and '?????'. I'm clearly running out of ideas and don't even have you to bounce off anymore *sniff*. I've met some brilliant people though and hope to stay in touch with them for a long time.
I don't believe you'll give up anymore than I will though, even if you took a break from it you'd be back. They always come back. At least keep your 360 account going, your last blog nearly made me cry!

Anyway, you're one of my favoured questioners and even if you get abuse, isn't it entertaining watching people completely miss the point?
There's no need to go cold turkey. When I'm feeling disillusioned I just answer/ask less. Then it kicks off again and I go into a feeding frenzy!

SilentRunning, you can't leave us. Seriously, you can't. It's been absolutely dead on here tonight, but don't give up the ghost entirely.
For those of us who can actually understand irony and have something resembling a sense of humour it's people like you who make this a site worth visiting. Have a break for a couple of days then come back.

I like your questions, generally. Being part of a rather smug clique can stifle creativity, however. I think you will have to reinvent yourself.
