I have been quite lucky and won quite a few competitions...the secret is too enter as many as possible, although I'm too hopeless to ever do the caption ones.
Some of the bigger prizes I've won are 400 pounds holiday voucher, 50 pounds supermarket voucher and a years free gym membership all from the local newspaper. I also won a holiday to Berlin from Marie Claire magazine. Smaller prizes include perfume, toileteries, CDs and a years supply of Haagen Daz sorbet.
My latest win has been a pain, they printed my name as a winner in a local newspaper in June and they still haven't sent me the prize (a 25 pound voucher) despite me chasing it up ages ago in a letter....GRrrrrrrr

I won thousands of pounds in a competition I didn't even enter. All I had to do was fill in the non-committal direct debit form for life insurance! Well, it did give a good laugh on a rainy Monday Morning!
One I did get to keep was an embroidery set (cushion cover) which I never finished, and a wipe-clean reminder board.
Oh, and ply me with enough alcohol, I can win a belching contest.

Yeah... several stuff:
In my junior high, there used to be anual acting contests (they gave you a script and then you made a team with your friends, and then lots of people presented the same play, and whoever preformed best won) Well... I won three years!! The first year I won a medal and a foot-ball (go me!!... (sarcastically)). The second year I won a medal and a schoolbag, and the third year a medal and a cd. I didn't do it for the prizes, though... I just love acting!!

I've entered loads of competitions in the past and logically i should have won something... But never have!! So i don't bother with them anymore, i've got better things to do than get my hopes up lol

I won a trip to Bristol Zoo from the local paper when I was 11, but nothing since!

It wasn't a competition as such, I filled in a question on the back of a beer mat in a pub once and won a camera, it was a cheap nasty plastic one and the film jammed in it, great, not.

I won pass the parcel as a kid and got a felt tip pen set!!!! I think it was probably fixed though as I was the only one who hadn't won anything yet :-( and the pens ran out in about 30 seconds flat

The other week I won a Logitech G7 Cordless gaming mouse
Its the only thing Iv ever one and im chuffed to bits :)

When I was little I won a barbie stable in a wordsearch thing; it had three horses (one was a baby horse) and it had buckets and shovels and reins and saddles and everything and it was so great! Still got it in my parents attic. Never really won anything else...

I've won a music CD, tickets to see New Order and tickets to see Peter Gabriel...never went to either concert!
