why is the natural-born citizenship requirement only for being president ?
shouldn't it also be for congress and the supreme court?
with the importance of these positions. we need these people to be natural-born citizens.

The rational was that that way a foreign government could not plant there own agent in the U.S. and have him elected as president.
That's the only position that has that has that qualification because it's the only branch of goverment where only 1 person makes the decisions.

Natural born citizens. Hmmm. I think all people in postions of power in the USA should be Native Americans. Everyone else is an invading foreigner

there have been quite a few secretary of states that would have been disqualified under that rule.
