Yes, I get the idea that you are unusually attached to your animal... I only cringe slightly when I hear people say that their favored animals are "part of their family" - but your "baby"? It is an animal, not a human being!!

I'm sorry, but that creeps me out and YUCK!

Hah nancy I am not suprised at all - I have a friend who celebrates the birthdays of her SEVEN PETS and even puts up Christmas stockings for them.

It's just REALLY WEIRD!

No. It's normal. Some people are lonely and only have their pets for company. Because the animal is dependent on them, they tend to think of themselves as its mother, or father.

Well, You would really have to experience it, in order to have that feeling and know what it's like.

I love my puppy to death, and I feel he is my baby, because I'm not married and he is so loving, beautiful, has such a beautiful face and loves me so much too, so why not? I feel he is important in my life and let people be how they want to be, you'd have to experience it, and if you don't care for them, then you don't. People are entitled to loving their animals or whoever they want.

Its a bit weird, but people can live their lives however they want. My pets aren't nearly on the same level as the kids.

Not really, but I do get sickened when people refer to their well-past-infancy-aged children as "baby" especially when said children are acting like little terrors.
