Obviously, the canadians can't know about this. Can I put him in the trunk for the border crossing from Detroit to Windsor and what happens to us if we are caught?

it doesnt matter weather he had a dui five years ago he can still go to canada. As long as he has a us pasport or id and or birthcirtificate he should have no trouble getting in

why, in this day and age, would you take such a stupid chance? call your american embassy or border people and ask if having a DUI on your record can keep you from crossing the border? i am sure lots of people have done that. trying to sneak across could get you shot or a very long jail sentence and be barred from coing into canada for the rest of your life.

and then tell your friend to look into getting a pardon. at least in alberta people can do that once their record is clean for a while.

You can't be serious! One of the secret prisons that our illustrious administration so stringently defends having, I suspect.

Why would a 5 year ago DUI be reason to keep someone out, unless he never paid the fine/served his time and has currently got a warrant out for his arrest?
