The proper way to fully clean your face is:
1. Cleanse
2.Tone
3.Exfoliate
4.Tone again
5.Mask
6.Moisturize
But if you are really worried about skin care you can go to a spa and get a consultaion from their esthetician b/c there are different products for different types of skin. You may think you have oily skin or dry skin when really you can have a combo of both and you are using the wrong product.
and the spots if they are acne scars or age spots microdermabrasion will lighten up the marks or get rid of them all together you can also talk to the esthetician about that. but most of the time you have to go more then once for that.

Here's what works great for me:

You need to take 12-15 caps a day of 500mg pantothenic acid (vitamin b5). I know it sounds like a lot, but people with acne have a severe deficiency, and any extra won't hurt you.

You can buy it online or at a store for about $5 for a bottle of 500. It's not terribly expensive, but it does cost a bit.

Just try one bottle, and you'll know it works. What can you lose except acne. Take about 15 caps a day, along with food. Break up the dosage so that you're taking about 5 caps with each meal. I promise you the acne will disappear within 2-3 days. Just please give this a try.

I'd advice an exfoliating face wash. Its better than soap < which leaves the skin dry > for the skin. With this type of face wash, the sebum within the pimples are cleared out and the pigmented dead skin are pealed off gently and gradually. Thus, you skin will grow fresh and healthy
