Since we all know that people try to hide their real identity when they come online, and wear masks to cover who they are, do you think that there is such thing as online friendship??

Yes. I have friends I've met over the internet that I still keep in touch with after five or six years of chatting. Some people I've met in person. I met my boyfriend online. I lived in NC and he lives in AZ, and I just moved out here to be with him, so I would say yes, there is such a thing as online friendship

I've met plenty of people online and the majority have been so nice....I've got several that I hope to know for a very long time. I don't fake who I am and I hope the ones I am close with are just as honest. So for me, yes, I do think there is such a thing as online friendship.

Yes. Not all people lie online. I know some people online that I consider 'friends' and I don't lie to them. Some people have the ability to be honest, others don't.
Of course no one tells their address to anyone online but that's not lying or hiding that's security.
