I f it does not improve your typing skills, the anal spellers will crack down on any misspelled words. It is a double whammy.

Any repetitive practice of typing, on this site, in a chat room or by typing lists or school/college work is good practice for typing.
Yes, it has helped, what didn't help was using my Mother's new laptop for three weeks - half the keys didn't do what they said as the keyboard was a Spanish one, but it was set up for English style! This does not worry her as she has been typing for over 60 years and rarely looks at the keyboard or even the screen when typing.

I can type faster but I still have to look at the keyboard it also improves your spelling!

Not personally, though I have a 'personal' reason for this.
As for everyone els's typing (well, most of), my opinion is that the majority have poor typing abilities and lousy care / concern for it too. Nor do they seem to have any pride in what they do either.

Although I was quite good at it to start with, but my spelling has improved with the Check Spelling!

Absolutely. I find I type a little faster and of course it is very impt. to me to have excellent spelling. I love to write too.
