After you clean it with baking soda, water, and a stiff brush, spray on terminal sealer. It's like a paint spray can that you can get at the auto parts store. Spray right over the terminal and post.

Clean them very good with a mixture of baking soda and water and a small brass brush, the go to your parts store and ask for a can of battery terminal protector or smother it with axle grease.

After cleaning the "gunk" with a bakingsoda and water sotution you can buy a spray at most auto parts store that should keep it from coming back.

After cleaning the terminals, apply a light coat of vaseline or petroleum jelly to each terminal. That will do the trick.

clean them with water and baking soda, lightly wire brush them. then spray on some battery terminal sealer (sold at any parts store, wal mart, etc.)

when you apply the water & baking soda the corrosion will fizz and bubble vigorously, don't be alarmed. just don't ever touch anything metal to the + post of the battery and another metal object at the same time.

clean with some warm water then apply some copper grease on the terminals wont stop it in long run but will certainly help to prevent furring up
