Unfortunately I could not identify myself with any of your assertions. Do you know what is scary? Over the period of time I have been on Answers, the amount of people who tacitly support the irresponsible and frankly criminal actions of this administration is very worrying. People like me are grateful that people like you exist as a counter-balance to some of the idiocy that I see on here.

America can't even enforce democracy in America...it lets Fox news do it for us

When are we going to be labeled as terrorist for making phone calls abroad and talking politics, what happened to our freedom of speech, what happened to our privacy and then they still want to enforce democracy somewhere else

Do you believe in America as a Sole Superpower?
Yes and no. I believe we came out of the Cold War as the sole superpower but we are losing the superpower title to China / Japan.

Do you believe that America has the obligation to enforce "Democracy" as the current administration defines it at all costs?
Yes, I believe that Islamic nations cannot govern their people and tolerate extremism, and inefficient governments must be overthrown or a threat of terrorism will always loom.

Do you support Wiretaps on supposed terrorists living abroad as well as in the US?
Yes, because I do not have anything to hide. I would prefer however if these wiretaps were regulated in some way.

Do you believe that the US boarders should be militarized?
I do not know what you're referring to. If you're talking about the US national borders, aka Mexico / Canada, yes, I believe there are too many ILLEGAL immigrants coming in.

Do you believe in the suspension of habeas corpus and the Posse Comitatus Act (marshal law, troops in the streets and the suspension of due process for enemy combatants)?
Yes, I believe that in times of extreme crisis / emergency such as Katrina or wartime, there should be extra measures taken to ensure security.

Do you believe in the elimination of federal government and liberal programs such as welfare, affirmative action, medicare, headstart programs?
Yes and no, I believe they should all be reduced in some action - Specifically I believe affirmative action is now so extreme that there's more of a reverse affirmative action going on - I believe Welfare is given out too liberally and is abused, (Local knowledge, not national, just things I know from my city, I live in Louisiana)
I am not sure what the cure of these programs must be..but they must be reduced in some fashion.

Do you believe that Americans should carry a national ID card?
Yes, it makes sense. It would act as a Driver's License when you need proof of identity, and it keeps better records overall.

Do you feel that Americans who do not serve in any branch of the armed forces in their life should have less say in national politics?
This is the hardest question so far..I want to say yes. They deserve high honors for their sacrifice, I leaned away from the National Guard at the last moment, it is a huge ordeal and a service to your country. Your country should award you with some priviledges.

Do you believe that the Bush administration has done it's best to defend American principles?
No, I believe no American government can 100% satisfy everyone's belief in American principles. I believe, personally, that they defended American principles efficiently by security in wartime.

Do you believe America should be considered a Christian Nation?
Yes and no. I believe christianity should be accepted as our groundings and the basis for all good morals in our country. Christianity is respected in the majority of American homes and at the least its commandments tolerated. I do believe in freedom of religion however.

1. No
2. No. To quote Benjamin Franklin "They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety." That's what the current adminstration is doing. They're making the American people give up certain liberties for temporary safety...all in the name of 'democracy'. Scary thing is, the American people are letting them.
3. Only if there is solid evidence that they are terrorists.
4. Yes
5. Yes
6. I believe we need Medicare, welfare and headstart programs, though they need to overhauled. I'm not really a big fan of affirnative action. Jobs and etc should be earned not given to a person because they're black, hispanic, woman etc. (mind you this is coming from a woman of hispanic decent)
7. What exactly would we use this National ID card for?
8. I'm one of those people who think that service in the military should be mandatory unless you are medically unfit to serve. So, in a way, my answer to this question would be yes.
9. No, it has not.
10. Absolutely not. Americans follow many religions and theyshould be allowed to practice their religion of choice without having someone else's regilious ideas and values pressed upon them. There is supposed to be a separation of church and state.
