how can i upgrade??

They're USB 1.1, however, you can still use USB 2.0 devices but they'll run at USB 1.1 speeds.
EDIT:
You can upgrade them by buying a pcmia add in card such as these shown here:

There are two 1.1 USB ports on this model of laptop.

use CPU Z program to see all your hardware versions, or
use USB-test.exe small program to test it and you can see what version is your USB
