It may not be the case for you, but many overweight people are overweight because they simply eat too much and are lazy. We also see beautiful skinny models all of the time and are told that this is what beautiful is, so I guess that if you're the opposite of that, you're not seen as attractive. Many plus-size women can be beautiful, but unfortunately a lot of people in the US are not plus size but rather morbidly obese and don't seem to be doing anything to change it. If they don't care enough about how they look themselves, why should we?

As long as you feel good about you and are healthy, it should not matter what your size is...My weight has been up and down for years and right now it is up...it's hard to maintain in a world where you are surrounded by fast food and fad diets. You cannot diet forever and if you have made a commitment to healthy eating and exercise, then you may just be healthier than someone much smaller...
Keep up the good work!

I am small boned, on the short side, and most of my life have been thin- but I have always had friends of varying sizes. I don't know why it is that society has an obsession with one body type. I see beauty where it is, and it doesn't always reside in that one body type. More people need to be accepting of the differences of others. Nothing could be truer than your last two sentences.

Think about it, love. Look at the beauty magazines. See the image they have in their head. Yes, the beautiful stick figure. Then they see someone of a plus size, they figure they're body style is wrong b/c it's not what they see in the magazines. So they have a problem with them because they aren't like them models. Which are suppose to represent what people look like. It's like someone with a mental handicap. People point them out pre judge them and dislike them just because of the way they look. It's the same with plus size people.

Ignorance breeds rudeness, unkind behavior and words that hurt ppl deeper then they even realize......Plus size women are just women that are a lil heavier, lil bigger in some places then a thinner woman...they still breath, bleed, feel, love, laugh and live like a normal person...CAUSE THEY ARE. My hubby always says, being a bigger person just gives more to love, look at and hug....anyone that makes you feel uncomfortable or badly cause you are a plus size...is so NOT worth your time hun...enjoy and love yourself first...once you do that...everyone that matters will to.....HUGS...

There's absolutely nothing wrong with plus-size girls... I perfer them to be honest. I like "real" women, not those that are all fake and dress like skanks. Real women have curves, and if you're lucky to find her, in all the right places... :-P
The women that I have been attracted to have always been plus-sized, with a few skinny ones too. But with plus-size girls, they just seem to be more loving, loyal, understanding, and sexual too. I'd rather have a plus, then some chick who looks like Paris (i'm a spoiled little biatch) Hilton.

I am also a plus size person. I think I am the person that has the most trouble with myself. I am not happy with myself so that makes me think others are not happy with me.
This is just my opinion of myself. I know I am not happy being this way aside from the fact of my health problems because of it...

I agree! I think it's just low self-esteem--if they talk bad about someone else, it takes the attention off them. I'm very thin, genetically, and I hate that people always judge us by our sizes. My own mother accused me of being bulimic, and she knows I've been like a bean since I was born.

The people who do put down +size only look to looking good.
My daughter is 5'11" weight is well over 230. She wrks out every day runs and takes care of her two boys.
When we go out people will stare at her we came up with if they stare they must be brain dead. and that is how we feel.
