i bought this hard drive module for my laptop so i could have another active hard drive

it plugs right into the bay where the cd-rom drive goes

i dont no what knid of drive to buy for it

i see notebook hard drives but they say ide,uda,sata

like what so should the drive say that is compatible with it

It says this right at the bottom of the ad: No Hard Drive Included, you can buy any of the 2.5" 9.5mm laptop hard drives from us.
I did a quick search of 9.5 mm hard drives on Dell it came back as ata, which is the older technology. I don't think too many laptops have jumped over to sata yet, because unless it is a gaming notebook, the need really isn't there for sata.

get with the 2.5 inch at 7200rpm with 8mb [100gb] the fastest...
