I live in the S.F Bay area in California and it is really really polluted here. I have horrible acne because of it. However when i go up to the mountains my acne actualy goes away. It's amazing!

It might be that pollution is actually increasing your skin problem, however acne is believed to be something common especially in young people. You may decrease your problem by washing your face twice a day with a medicated soap (morning and night) and wash your face with clear water whenever you feel it is necessary (say you feel your face oily or itchy or something). Hope this helps as I live in a small island (Malta) where the country is almost polluted all over except for very few places and this works a lot in my case, take care.

It can be like that sometimes cause the air is so dirty and nasty that it gets into your skin and mess it all up. I'll get a bump or two during the summer but when i go to NJ in the winter i wont get ANY bumps. The weather plays a big part as well. The more you sweat, the more chances to get acne.

Well yeah it makes sense that it would affect it . Becasue bascially your skin needs to breathe and if it breathes "bad" air then yeah there you go.
