I've heard several different times that Islam is trying to "take over" from some conservatives...

so taking Iraq... a relatively un-religious country, by middle eastern standards... was a good place to start?

and we're friends with Saudi Arabia... the Islamic homeland?

that's a funny way to fight a war on Islam conservatives?

and why did bush just say the other day that we weren't fighting a war on Islam? is he a liberal?

I'm just trying to figure this stuff out...

Well I haven't heard anyone with any credibility say that Islam is trying to take over, except maybe Bubba and Cletus at the barbershop. What most people think is that Islamic extremists are taking control of Islam. Sorta like the inquisition that Catholicism went through. The mentality that we are right and you are wrong, we have power so you die.

Since it's the terrorists who are trying to take over, I think we need to just support the guys who are actually over there and "doing" something about it. When you actually read their holy book, you'll find that they are commanded to kill the infidels. Who are the infidels? Anyone who's not a believer, according to their book. Hey, don't shoot the messenger, I'm just telling you what I've read myself. It's all there, and they can't deny it. That's why they (the terrorists) call it a holy war. And Islam is the fastest growing religion right now. Normally, that would just be an interesting statistic, but when you consider that many of those who are becoming believers are joining the ranks of the terrorists, including many Americans. The cure lies inside of each person, when each person takes responsibility for their own actions and decides to live in peace with everyone. If everyone did that, there'd be no reason for killing and fighting. Hmmm...wonderful concept...peace. <*)))><

Actually the more Democracy takes hold within the Middle East the less recruits these demonic Imans will have to preach their poison too.
They need people who are uneducated, poor and all around destitute and hopeless.
Through strong Democracies Muslims can begin to be educated. They can find that there are other choices than continuing to live in the Dark Ages.

Bush is a politician. Too afraid to confirm that it is indeed a religious war, by them, but we won't acknowledge that. We're pretending it is not at the root of the issue. If we do not wage war on Islam, Islam will prevail. It will come to the point that it cannot be denied and then all hell will break loose. Things will get much, much worse before they get any better, I'm afraid.

Hey g
There are ten nations in Europe that are making plans to take out the middle east, and others......

Stop watching the local news and keep eyes and ears open to Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and others in Europe... The German nation with 9 others are going to play a big part in you life in the future, the near future......

Have a good day......

Try reading more carefully....we are fighting a war against Islamic extremists. Not the religion of Islam.
Islamofacists are the enemy, they make up a small but powerful and vocal portion of Islam.

If you are interested in knowing the truth about the mentality and ideology of the Islamic extremists why don't you read the letter from al-Zawahiri to al-Zarqawi.
