Let me check the problem and make sure i typed it correct.

I think the answer is undefinable. On my paper it says that some of the answers may not be solvable.

The question is not well posed. Do you want to find the value of f(x) when x is given? Do you want to find the derivative of f(x)? When you say f(x)=10/x this gives a rule for calculating f(x). It does not pose a problem. It is just a statement.

Well what exactly do you want to know about the function?
I can tell you it's a hyperbola located entirely in the first and third quadrants, symmetrical with respect to the line y = -x, asymptotes are the x-axis and y-axis.

That doesn't make any sense. you don't solve a function. what are you trying to do, find roots (there are none), or evaluate the function, or what?

what they are probably trying to get you do is graph it since there is no one answer for this function.
