He shouldn't be acquitted because his case should be dropped. To be acquitted would mean he'd actually still have to go into the courtroom for a trial. He SHOULD NOT be facing any charges!!! He is a hero to many people for catching that no good *&$#^! If OUR government wants to show TRUE JUSTICE then-fine take him to court and tell him how he did a GREAT & noble thing and fine him with $1.00 & a public "I'm sorry" but the law says I have to fine you" or something. I dunno-it's just sick that bringing in a henious criminal got him arrested. This just makes me mad & sad. Thanks for posting this- I'm sure MOST people that come across it will be in agreeance with you-I know I am.

The three were seized on an outstanding warrant stemming from their 2003 arrest in Mexico, where they were charged with illegal deprivation of liberty for their abduction of Luster. Bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico.
So since he chose to break a law, he should do the time, poular or not. If he believed in what he was doing then why did he jump bail? He should have stayed and dealt with the consequences now he's made it worse for himself...oh well....

I think they should give the man his own holiday. Shame Shame on the American government for not backing one of their own. The Chapman family didn't even get the reward for catching the bastarrd. I think something fishy is going on. Maybe the Mexican Government is missing all the money that guy was spending in their country. Shame on them too.

i think the charges are crazy and he should get a medal for binging him in. the whole thing should have ended when he came back from Mexico. and it was very disrespectful to barge into his house like that with guns drawn they should have least have the decency to take him quietly
