Racism is a fad; the justification for the basic human need for exclusion.

Today, we call it prejudice, but what it really means is the basic pack mentality-us against them. As a method of exclusion, racism is becoming boring to most people. Nowadays, the popular prejudice is against gay marriage & families.
There's a correlation here with something else that rots your insides; candy. People get tired of candies, but they never get tired of sugar.

Eventually, racism will go away. But prejudice...that's eternal.

Hey Zayne P,

Well, honestly - I saw a show the other night (20 20 I think) on stereotyping. They proved that we all do it. That is the root of Racism.

The bottom line on the show was that you need to be aware that you do stereotype people as a natural instinct (survival depends on recognizing a deadly enemy). Those instincts still remain inside each of us. So, if you are aware that you do stereotype, and don't act on that instinct, instead judge each person on their merits - you could eliviate Racism - but not eliminate. Nothing is perfect, but we can strive for it.

It will. Sadly, i wont be around at that time to watch and be happy for it.

But, as we all well know.. Future holds all kinds to ponder.. racism WILL be replaced with new kind of racism --

Speciesm.. Just think about it, if there are other alien race more advance than us hovering across galaxies looking for something, are they going to treat as equal or lesser species?

Point to ponder... hmmm..

As long as people believe they are more important than anyone else, there will allways be some form of racism. Even today there are forms of racism that can't be easily seen.

until we all become a world community and we all accept that we are all in this together and that if the world ended right now that's it for everyone not just Black or White or what ever. until we are all ready to accept the notion of the brotherhood of man concept it will never happen.

I hope so.

Problem is many confuse fairness & rights with racism.

As proven by immigration issues, where people presume racism where there is none. Its about the citizen's rights versus the illegal immigrant and where people confuse the difference bewteen legitimate immigration and 'improper/illegal' immigration.
