I’m going to have an Endometrial Biopsy done Thursday; I’ve head that it hurts like hell. They found some tiny little Fibroids and now want to check for any pre-cancer (Scares the hell of out me to hear that) I just had an annual when all this began, it was normal then 2-days later for the past 2 ½ months now, I have been bleeding on and off. Wouldn’t any pre-cancer show up in a pap test? Have any of you been through this?
Is there anything I can take before the test to help with the pain during the test?

Dear Terrified, I have been through the procedure you are facing, several times. It is painful, but tolerable.and it is quick. I found that taking 600mg of motrin about 20 min. or so before the procedure makes it easier. Cancer is something that scares everyone, but think positive, usually it is something minor, I don't know your age, but your Dr. is being through. The Dr.'s wouldn't do it in the office, if they didn't think we could handle it. Prayers and Good Luck with the results, I think you will be fine. :)

Actually, yeah, you would have thought that something like that would and should show up on a pap. But let me tell ya something, these labs that do these pap tests SUCK..first of all they are so overloaded with pap tests and a lot of other tests that half the time they read the results wrong or they get the tests mixed up. Don't put a whole lot of faith in the lab that's doing the pap test. Second, they are so overloaded with work that they have to hire just about anyone and for a cheap price to work in these labs. Not everyone that works in a lab is qualified to work in a bathroom let alone work in a lab. Have another pap done somewhere else, and do yourself a favor, get a second opinion.

I'm not a woman so I know I shouldn't be answering your question, but I thought I would just wish you luck and tell you I hope it is nothing serious.
