I've never met steve but I've been to the zoo.
New Zealanders and Aussies are very much the same type of people and as a New Zealander I felt really gutted that steve irwin's dead.
Sure he was a bit of a joker but he was a good bloke at heart and it's a shame someone like him who was making a difference is gone.
I've watcched the crocodile hunter since it was first ever made, when he was first married and noone knew about him and trust me he's always been the same, on TV anyway.
RIP Steve Irwin!!! :)
PS: Life isnt fair - Dont beleive any of that God garbage... my mate died a few years ago and she wasnt a christian but she was a really awesome person... what kind of God would throw a cool person in Hell just because they weren't "born again?"
No, life isnt fair and it never will be. Sorry to be so pessimistic but if you look around you and read the news etc you will see that I'm right. Go to www.google.com and search for Uganda Genocide. You will see what I mean.

Its all about getting the ratings for the producers to keep the show going ! So It took more dangerous chances for Steve Irwin to do to show The folks on TV ~ and He knew the risks swimming over or on top of a large stingray ~ They really don't like to be bothered in the wild ~ especially when they get cornered from both sides ! while having a camaraman trying to get a close-up shot of Steve Irwin ~ steve also gets too close ! and the Stingray thinks its going to Lunch ~ and defends itself ~ all for a Nature film of the great barrier reef ~ also the stingrays downunder are bigger than up here ~ May God Bless ~ Rip Steve Irwin ~ A very sad lost

Even though most of us wish it were, life isn't always fair. But, no one ever said it would be. If life was fair, life for the great majority of us wouldn't be as difficult as it can be much of the time.
My family and I loved watching Steve Irwin. His death was very tragic and we, including millions of people around the world, will miss him. But, it didn't take the death of Steve Irwin for me to realize that life can be unfair.
All we can do is try to remember to be thankful for each day of life, because none of us ever knows what is just around that corner, as Steve Irwin's death has tragically reminded us.

No life is not fair, but EVERYTHING happens for a reason. My grandmother was killed in a tragic car accident, she devoted her life to God, was in church 3 times a week, why would he take her in such a horrendous way? We dont know WHY He does some of the things He does, but there is ALWAYS a reason, no matter how aweful! And Steve Irwins passing, well that was tragic as well, I feel great sympathy for his family.

There no guarantee in this life. Go to the cemetery and ask to see the child section. If you believe in a life after death Know that the children in there are in a better place then we are.

I'm sure if he had been given a choice, he probably would have wanted to go out in a blaze of glory, doing what he did best. I wouldn't say fair though, I'd say ironic.

If you look at the way he died you have to realize that there were no what if's. It was gods way of saying, his time on earth is done. I feel for his kids and wife, but in his line of work there were risks and he loved what he did. For him to pass doing what he loves must be a comfort.

if it's fair or not is for you to decide, but with all the close calls he had I'd say he was lucky if you want to live an interesting life you have to take risks
